-Kitchen Assistant required - immediate start available-

Full Time. 45 hours per week £8.50 per hour.

Straight Shifts. 5 days in 7, including weekend work. Overtime available

We are looking for a kitchen assistant to work with our team

Job outline – Ensure overall cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas, and to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Duties include thorough cleaning of kitchen pots, pans and cooking utensils. Loading the dishwasher with crockery and cutlery items, overseeing the operation of the machine and unloading and stacking items away. Counting and wrapping items ready for hire. Clearing trolleys & boxes loaded with dirty crockery and utensils, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all food stores and fridges as well as the waste bins. Emptying waste food bins and disposal of all kitchen waste. You will also be carrying out food prep work to assist the chefs, this will be fully supervised. On occasions you will also be required to work on site at events, assisting the back of house crew with set-up, de-rig and service.

Must have own transport as the kitchen location is Swavesey by A14 junction 28 – parking is provided on site. Meals are provided on duty.

We are looking for a talented chef to work with our team.

Working as part of the kitchen brigade at ‘the kitchen’ in Swavesey you will play a key role in preparing and cooking food for events. This is a mixture of volume cooking for large numbers of people, fine dining for Weddings and high profile events, and also corporate buffet lunches.

Speed and precision are key requirements, with attention to detail on preparation quantities and methods. Knife skills are very important to this role, as large amounts of prep work (butchery and veg) is included. This post also includes working on site as an event chef, where you will play a key part in producing and delivering meals for guests.

-Casual Waiting Staff-

We are looking for casual waiting staff to work at dining events in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.  We are looking for experienced waiting staff to join our team, on a casual basis.  The majority of shifts are at the weekend, predominantly on Saturdays.  We also have events taking place on week nights.  Pay rate is £7.70 - £8.25 per hour (dependent on experience & age)
